The Old Station

We had a lovely few hours out at The Old Station at Tintern in the Wye Valley. It was a place we went to many times when the children were little, but we haven't been there for years.

Tintern was a Station on the Wye Valley Railway, which ran from Chepstow to Monmouth, and opened in 1876. It carried it's last passengers in 1959, and ran for a few more years as a goods service, before closing completly.

The two carriages are now a visitor centre, and the station building is a cafe. You can also go for lovely long walks along the River Wye. A few more in extras.
