~Distant Downpour~

This rain falling from the sky is probably about 100 or so miles away. So easy to see in the clear unpolluted air of the high desert. If it's reaching the ground, and one can't tell this far away, it is a rainstorm. But in the heat and low humidity of the Sonoran Desert it might just be evaporating before touching earth, that is called virga. Be that as it may, it was a wonderful chance photograph Mother Nature doing her thing.
