In other news, our woodland walk with the dog today was a noisy one, crunching through golden leaves that were ankle deep. Very autumnal, except it is August! The trees are all very drought stressed, even hardy plants like rhododendron are looking the worse for wear. Happily light rain forecast over the coming days.
