The King's Head (again)
When I came here for lunch with Chris and Steve on Wednesday, it occurred to me that this might be nice place to bring everyone for lunch, today.
We had a minor change in personal, as Charlie drove up from Manchester, and I dropped Milly off at Lancaster station, but at one o'clock the lunch party was at The King's Head, which was just as good as I'd hoped.
After such a big lunch, we head a fair light dinner sat out on the deck, this evening, where we were joined by a charming little black and white cat that the girls promptly named Legend.
We'd actually seen him/her wandering along the road earlier in the day, and s/he seemed very keen to settle in. S/he was also clearly hungry, and despite some reservations around feeding someone's else's cat, we weren't sure when it had last eaten, so in the end we gave in.
Having joined the family, at least in its eyes, s/he was clearly put out at not being allowed in when we locked up for the night.
