EXTERMINATE

A lovely day to day.  Garron and I went back over to Morecambe to meet up with our lovely friend Carolyn - an amazing artist.  She does a lot of Doctor Who, Sci-Fi and Fantasy art.  You can get a flavour of artwork at her Etsy site Spirited Portraits if you are interested.  I have quite a few pieces of her artwork, especially the Doctor Who connected ones.

We had a lovely catch up, Garron and I went for a wander around the Comiccon, the cosplayers are always happy to pose and are very friendly - I did a high five with a dinosaur - now it's not everyday that you can say you've done that is it!!??

On the way back Garron and I decided to call into The Midland Hotel for a spot of lunch.  DO NOT BOTHER  we won't go again.  We waited at least 3o minutes and even then I had to go up to the bar to ask for my drink.  1 further 10 minutes later and the food appeared - very very disappointing.  I asked for a chicken caesar sandwich - well it came in a toasted bun and was fried in breadcrumbs or batter and only had a tiny sliver of caesar sauce, no butter on the bun.  The dressed leaves, we not dressed and were extremely wilted and inedible really.  Garron just wanted a slow-cooke roast beef sandwich, this also came in a toasted bun, the onions were burnt and the very limited amount of beef was pretty gross.

We just paid up and left, although when asked if the food was OK, I said no and told them why.  To be fair the staff were OK, very friendly and polite and they aren't responsible for the food.  No matter we will not go back and in fact if I come across any other establishment that says its part of The Inn Collection Group I won't go.

We didn't let it spoil our day though and just came on home.  Morecambe was by now heaving and it was nose to tail getting out, but once past the Prom it wasn't too bad.  Nose to tail on the A590 going towards Levens but our way OK.

In extras is a photo of all three of us.  We met Carolyn well over 20 years ago now at a Doctor Who convention and attended many a great conventio with her and our other Dr Who friends, always known as LALOT Lords and Ladies of Time.   BRILLIANT FUN DAYS.
