Ziggy trying to beg

I was in town this morning to have my hair cut (yes, I realise it's bank holiday ** but the hairdresser is going on holiday later in the week so fitted several clients in today) so called into the nursing home to visit C earlier than usual. I hadn't been there for long when a carer brought him his lunch. 
Ziggy tried his best to scrounge some (this is pudding) but didn't get any. I don't encourage him to beg and don't give him bits of my food when I'm eating, but I guess that begging just comes naturally. 
** A friend messaged me yesterday to see if I wanted to join her on a dog walk this morning. When I replied that I was having my hair cut she replied "You do know it's Bank Holiday don't you?" :-))
