Ju came round with the makings of a paella and set himself up on the terrace with the gas ring, the industrial frying pan and a glass of red. 

Sarah, Lizzie and I sat in the kitchen while Isaac paced around the table providing a much needed breeze.

We played cards late into the night drinking pots of tea and eating toast and marmalade
