A training day for my upcoming test. It was good just to have a 1:1 lesson. At the start he straightened out some things that he said I clearly hadn't been taught and the morning was good progress in not grabbing the front break but using rear brake and clutch to "roll out of junctions.
The afternoon was trying to not look at my indicator when operating it (I find it awkward with my arthritic thumb) and roundabouts and life savers.
I had times when he said if you ride like this on the test you'll pass and times when I was listening to his coaching and then made a dumb mistake.
Six hours with a break for lunch is a lot of concentration, and he said tonight my brain will assimilate the teaching and then ride tomorrow to refresh it. He will be riding me to the test centre on Wednesday afternoon so I will get a refresher then too. When I ride as if I'm on my own then I'm fine when I think about it being a test I get tense so I just have to try and see it as an afternoon ride.
I know how to do it and that I can do it. I just need to do it for the 50 minutes of my test!
