Day 5 (Day 3763)
Off to the wilds of Tankerness this morning to look at a drippy tap and a leaky bath. The customer was convinced there was a problem with the bath waste, and insisted I took the bath panel off to look at the leak. The waste was fine, the bath legs, not so much. Whoever fitted the bath obviously didn't feel the legs needed to be in contact with the floor. I sorted the legs then followed the evidence of the leak to the lack of effective seal between the bath and the wall. The next hour or so was spent scraping the old sealant out and cleaning everything up so I could do a proper job of sealing the bath. After sorting the bath, the tap repair was very straightforward and I was soon on my way home for lunch.
After lunch my beautiful wife insisted that I head across to Stromness with her and get out for my fifth ride in a row. I didn't argue and we got out for a beach ride on George and Jeeps. George was delighted to be in the sea again, and Jeeps and HV looked great splashing around in front of Hoy.
Another grand day in Orkney.
