Cheeky monkeys!

Our first day looking after George and Philippa! Rob made spicy buns with George, while Pip and I went to try and buy her some trainers. Somehow she has arrived with only flip flops! Going round a supermarket with grandchild seems to be hazardous, as we came out with yes, trainers , but also jelly, biscuits, squash, and a new bathmat!
The buns came out beautifully and then we went for our favourite walk around the Sizergh estate. Sandwiches in the bird hide, George took loads of photos with the camera grandad has given him. Philippa was not amused, but I gave her a drawing pad to make up for it. We walked on to Sizergh Castle for ice cream, and bumped into Jacqui. Had a rest and a chat, then back up the long hill to the car.
The children did really well, and didn’t complain or drag behind so that was a surprise!
We made pizzas for tea, then finally to bed! Bonnie, Rob and I, are all exhausted too!
