Homeward Bound

An early start this morning as our first train was leaving Interlaken at 8.30am…this did mean we saw the early morning sun glancing off the mountains (the only photo taken today) when we opened the curtains. It’s been a gloriously sunny day all the way back to London…but a very long one! Four trains and a bus and it was 8.45pm UK time when we arrived at St Pancras. Now we’re holed up in the Pullman at St Pancras for the night overlooking Camden Town again.

Too many trains to count; a great group of people to travel with and an excellent tour manager…ex military, who made sure everything ran like clockwork made for a lovely trip and Switzerland is always a delight. The only downside was getting a variety of gluten free food as they really don’t cater well for allergies…but I didn’t starve! Loved my mountainous and lakeside views but I’m looking forward to a coastal view tomorrow.
