Number 8 wire

The Kiwi dream is built on doing it yourself and number 8 wire. The number 8 wire saying and She'll be right stem back to the good old days when Dad and Dave worked hard breaking in new ground and making a legacy for the families future. They would be way up in the back paddock putting in a fence and at the end of the day when it was time to come home they often found they were just shy of finishing the gate and run out of materials so they would tie it up with a bit of number 8 wire and say She'll be right and it sure was, often left like that for years and it never failed. this image was snapped by a big bloke with a little pink camera. This is a typical home built yard from the high presure water tank on the roof of the home made shed to the sides on the trailer. My late Mother was like that making something out of nothing, and finding bargains at the auction rooms and the worst thing I remember apart from pulling our hair out with these little hand clippers, was when Mum darned our socks i never had so many blisters. Time has gone fast now Mum has been gone 3 years today and my hero Neil Armstrong passed away also on this day last year. this is a must watch enjoy
