Palm play
The Tuesday morning walkers today wandered through Tarragindi to the Memorial Park in the next suburb, Yeronga. I photographed a palm tree and played with it in Apple Photos and Pixma.
The park contains a significant memorial to Australians who died in war. It took on this role after World War I, during which over 60,000 Australian service people died and were buried so very far from home. The extra shows one view of the Yeronga Park Memorial. It lists the names of 97 Australian soldiers, residents of the Yeronga area, who died in the war.
