Bank Holiday
.... and the sun was shining!
We started off with a bit of dusting and hoovering before shower and heading up to my Brother's for lunch. No.2 and Hannah were also coming and it was lovely to sit in the sun and have a sensible conversation with lots of laughs and varied subjects (no twaddle). Lunch was interesting and probably reflects other aspects of their lives but was tasty and I didn't have to cook!!
We had a conversation about the current trend of flying the flag of St George and other aspects of life in today's world. All proud to be British but my brother is so wise and sensible and felt the current flag flying is an attempt at polarising society (he had a great view which I won't write here but it made good sense). I sent him this picture of things I appreciate about being British - milk on the doorstep in a re-cycled glass bottle. Light hearted I know but you get the idea?
Home to watch a good film recommended by No.2 - Richard Jewell which we had to rent on Amazon as by the time I had looked on all the free streaming channels and couldn't find it - and I was determined to watch. Good film and another reason I am proud to be British (although miscarriages of justice happen everywhere?).
