Shattered

I managed to drop my padded sling bag while taking pram out of my car. Canon 6D and EF 24-70 f/2.8 L inside the bag. When I peeked inside the bag I saw it was full of glass!

I thought bummer! Lens broken.

Closer inspection unveiled that my UV(0) protector filter took whole impact and it was totally broken. I cleaned lens and took test photos. Everything is ok. Not a single dent in lens. It took me good 30 minutes to take filter off, because it was stuck.

Lesson?

1. Look closer when moving stuff around camera
2. Use protector filter in all lenses!
3. (Yes, I have good insurance :) )
