Fabulous fireworks
Another gloriously hot day in Devon. This morning MrM and I drove to Kingsbridge, where we walked around the town, up and down the steep main street, and by the estuary. MrM invested in a new summer hat, and I bought some more sunscreen. A very pretty place, with lots of colourful flowers around the central area (extra).
Then a short drive to Bantham for a walk on the beach. Lots of people were enjoying watersports between the coatguards' flags.
After the most delicious pizzas from the van by the campsite (even MrM enjoyed his, and he's not a great fan of pizza), a drive into Plymouth to meet Angus again. We walked from his house to Plymouth Hoe to watch the fireworks - tonight and tomorrow the British Firework Championships are being held there, three displays of 10-minutes on each evening. The fireworks were absolutely fabulous. Wow! (We'd like to go again tomorrow, but it took so long to get out of Plymouth tonight that we've decided against it.)
I seem to have an awful lot of photos of fireworks...
