The Pensioner

On the island

Awake to a very grey but warm and humid Halifax. First up, the Citadel as it’s across from the hotel and full of tartan clad soldiers. They’re actors!! The SK winkles this out from a handsome young drummer.
Onward down town and over to Georges Island for a shufty around - then the forecast rain came in. We sheltered and dressed up as military types until the boat whisked us back to the mainland.
Eggs Benedict with crab and fries for lunch. I can see I’m going to have to keep an eye on this eating malarkey.
So, to the afternoon - the Maritime Museum followed by the Art Gallery of NS. Much emphasis on the indigenous people with a heavy slant towards their virtues. Just saying. My gawd it was chucking it down. We scuttled through the streets visiting the NSLC en route. Top place. Out and around the corner to the stubborn goat to grab fish… and chips. Did I mention that I better cut down on the fries?
