... but it wouldn't be correct. German shepherd dogs were known as Alsatians after WWII when anything German was shunned. They reverted to their correct name in 1977.

Today is #InternationalDogDay. I've been looking at #AllAboutDogsInASongOrAMovie online. I enjoyed listening to You Can Call Me Al(satian). I also liked Walk Like an Alsatian/Egyptian. German shepherd dogs have a special way of walking. We used to think it looked a bit like Maggie Thatcher's walk.

My image is the lovely whorl in the fur of Mish's pantaloons. My darling Ollie dog used to have very similar. I captured it on 21st August 2022. Recently I heard someone describe dogs as angels from heaven. They really are.
