Bikes and Marbles

Last day of our son and family’s holiday today, so we had a special day today, starting with breakfast at Cafe 360 in Bovey Tracey. It’s a vey relaxing place, with several historic bicycles on display.
Afterwards we went to the play area in the park, and then to the House of Marbles. The building was once the Bovey Pottery Company, and one ‘chimney ‘ remains.
The House of Marbles are makers & purveyors of a range of glass marbles, board games, classic toys, puzzles, pastimes & decorative accessories for the home and garden. They have been designing, making and selling fun and entertaining products since 1973, when the founder began making board games in his workshops to sell at local craft fairs. It’s a great place to visit, with a cafe, a museum, and many wonderful things to see, as well as a marvellous shop.
