Think of three words

Developing vocabulary. Favourite word: 'dog' - applied emphatically to any actual dog within three hundred metres, speculatively to anything with four legs, and with less conviction to things animate or inanimate that are worthy of comment and approval

As his advocate, I would say that if he has been taught that 'dog' applies to a vast range of creatures from Chihuahuas to Irish Wolf Hounds, as well as small plastic/wooden toys and pictures in lurid primary colours, applying it to goats, sheep, lamas, miniature Shetland ponies, rabbits and hairy pigs of traditional breeds (at the charming children's farm in the park today) is entirely reasonable. Chickens, ducks and emus may be stretching the point, but he has time to work on the detail. We missed the wallabies, but I'm pretty sure they would be dogs

This is 'dig'. The subtle difference in vowel sound may be discernible only to those who love him. His 'potato' is confident and assured. His love of being outside, playing with soil/mud and using tools is unmistakeable. His parents are far better vegetable gardeners than we have ever been; he's in good hands

His cousin had a lock of hair trimmed today "so he is able to see his breakfast". I'm in pieces
