Monica
Today, we rode a small part of the Blue Ridge Parkway and visited the Moses Cone House, now a crafts center on the parkway. In speaking to a salesperson, Monica, I learned that she was an artist and teacher who had lived and worked in Puerto Rico for 32 years before returning to the North Carolina mountains because she was tired of dealing with dangerous hurricanes. Of course just after she moved here she experienced the devastating inland hurricane of 2024.
The extra is the Moses Cone House and Crafts Center on the parkway.
