A travel day

Train to Aberdeen, 727 bus to the airport, hire car from there.  Everything more or less on time; a few heavy drips as I was leaving the airport. Most of the grain fields have been harvested already and there are great swaths of golden light. Saw one start at ploughing already. 

Walk round the circuit when I got here; met new neighbour who has taken on the old Victorian school building as a restoration project. He came over for tea and we talked about the history of the building and what it had under its floors ..Good to establish contact. 

There was a brief and heavy shower to damp things down then evening sunshine. 24C high in the afternoon and a strong wind from the South.
