The Crossing

The footbridge over the railway and Aire Valley Trunk Road taking you from the town to Three Rise Locks and, further up the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, Five Rise Locks.

Helped Sal reach her 100,000 Turf Zone score for this month by taking the four zones in this area off her so she can take them again and get more points.

I didn’t think I’d be able to attempt the steep walk up to Five Rise but I just took my time and got up as far as taking the zone. I was close to the top and could have carried on but the cafe there is always busy and I think I might have exploded if I got up there and all the seating was taken hehe.

Went back down and sat outside the parish church to recover. There is another zone just outside. A good day :-)
