Sunrise at Parga on Adam's birthday

This morning Gavin and I were up early to watch the sun rise. Sunrise happens here at the respectable hour of 7am, which makes it easy to do. We were joined by Adam and Anna who came to watch the sunrise on Adam's birthday, he turns 28 years old today.

We had a lovely breakfast and then Adam opened cards and a present - his other presents he will get when we return to the UK, it did not make sense to bring all of them here. We left Parga and sailed to Antipaxos where we found a protected bay to swim. The water was the most incredible cyan blue, and there were many caves which the boys had fun snorkelling in. I swam around the boat and enjoyed the lovely warm water.

We had lunch there, today Giorgos made us the most delicious Greek meatballs in tomato sauce on pasta with salads. We then sailed north to the north west tip of Paxos, a place called Lakka where we are mooring on anchor for the night. In Greece the boats are usually stern moored with a long line ashore, so in both locations Luke and Adam dive off the boat with the mooring rope and tie it to a rock to secure the boat.

Lakka is a lively little town, (there are many Brits here), and it has some charming restaurants and shops. I like how everywhere we have been the ubiquitous horrible T shirt tourist shops we used to get are now filled with lovely cotton or linen clothing, and with much nicer gifts rather than than the tacky things I remember from years ago.

When we are sailing we usually don't have much roaming and I get seasick if I stare down at my phone, so I am unable to keep up with journals. When we anchor we are usually busy swimming and doing other things so I am sorry but I am struggling to keep up.

Tonight we are going to a restaurant booked by Ioannis to celebrate Adam's birthday. An extra of Adam on his birthday!

It has been another lovely day with such good weather.
