Another lovely morning

The weather's turning
but it's still been beautiful
for walks, rides and drives!

Last day up here for a while, definitely feels a bit like the end of summer, in more ways than one.  Whilst we've been up here I've been trying to get to grips with a bit of cycling, it's a way to keep building fitness and the added incentive is that I want to get about without the car and we're a good few miles from the local shop, bakery and pub!  This morning I was out early and managed a 6.48 mile ride (yes the 0.48 is important!) it felt really hard and hilly (it wasn't, just undulating!)  but I was pleased to think I could do it!  Definitely making steps in the right direction.  Then Mr KCNQ2Haiku went out and really showed me how it's done with his proper ride :-D and I spoke to family and recovered a bit!  Then we took Leo for a lovely walk (a 'turn left' walk!) and he really skipped and jumped at all the woodland, rabbit smells and general wild-sniff opportunities! Home for lunch and some tidying up, mopping, washing and then out for some milk to tide us over til tomorrow (by car, not ready for two bike rides in a day yet!) and we stopped for a pint on the way home (it's our anniversary so it was justified!) Final walk for Leo and now Mr KCNQ2Haiku is chatting with older teen and I'm pottering. Lovely day but not yet ready to get back to reality tomorrow!
