By the seaside

A visit to Stonehaven today. A brilliant warm sunny day. We should be grateful for such days, though I think we have maybe had many more of them this year than is typical. I doubt I can remember a summer like this in Northeast Scotland.

We stayed in Stonehaven several hours before returning home. We had expected to have an ice cream, possibly from the shop in the harbour. However we had had a coffee and a cake when we arrived, so we were somewhat lacking the urge for an ice cream. We saw two stalls selling seafood sandwiches, but did not partake of these either. The pubs and surprisingly seemed to be doing good business.
