I have discovered what bolted lettuce looks like

I planted far too much and there will be an abundant crop of these yellow flowers.

I went to another 70th birthday party this evening, accompanied by pigs and goats, since it was at Oxford City Farm. I bet they don't allow their lettuces to bolt.
