Dr Livingstone, I presume?
WEDNESDAY
I started the day with half an hour in the garden and managed to fill the space in both garden waste bins ahead of tomorrow's collection.
After that, I headed over to Rhuddlan for my 11:20 haircut with Catherine. Rain made a surprise appearance just as I was heading back to the car — a quick shower that came out of nowhere and disappeared just as fast.
Back home for a bit of lunch, then into Denbigh for a few errands. The sun returned this afternoon.
The photo is of the statue of HM Stanley outside the library. Born in Denbigh in 1841, Stanley became a famous and often controversial explorer and journalist. He’s best remembered for tracking down Dr. Livingstone in Africa.
And in bowls news — more drama. The two teams chasing promotion alongside us were due to play each other yesterday, but it turns out the green at Abergele was overdosed with fertiliser and declared unfit for play. The match has been re-scheduled to 5 September and yet another twist in this already tense end to the season.
