Harvest Time

This year's experiment wasn't in any way as successful as last year's, but I'm not surprised. The garden as a whole has suffered from a major lack of attention this summer, what with everything that's happened over the last couple of months, and the hot dry weather hasn't helped either. But the newly harvested potatoes tasted good this evening, slathered in butter!

A day of sunshine and torrential showers, 19 degrees, I think. Managed to tick 23 chores off my jobs list, though a further 12 remains outstanding. Mum taught me a trick once; if you complete a chore that wasn't on your jobs list, add it to the list and then you can tick it off straight away and enjoy an extra feeling of accomplishment!
