Launch
Heavy rain was forecast this morning but nothing could have prepared us for the biblical deluge that we experienced!
The air awning collapsed under the weight of water, so it became necessary to continually walk from one side to the other, using a broom handle to lift up the roof and therefore remove the deep puddles, causing the collapse.
When it finally stopped, we took a picnic to Plas Newydd and then safely deposited George’s friend back with his parents, meeting at a garage in
‘Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch’. It really is called this and translated it means - ‘The church of St. Mary in the hollow of the white hazel near the fierce whirlpool and the church of St. Tysilio by the red cave’
George and I drove to Moelfre to watch a scheduled lifeboat launch. We got a prime place, smack bang in the middle of the viewing platform. It was incredible and worth the long wait.
