Long day involving a crazy early start to take the cracked car window for repair.

Woke at 5:30 and moved to sleep in the living room after a battle with a mosquito went on for 50 minutes till it got me on the forehead! It’s been rather humid, sweaty and uncomfortable at night for the last few nights.

Left the house at 7:45am

By 9:30 I felt like I’d got to know Villeneuve very well. By 10am I was shattered and drinking chai coffee with ice and eating croissant to try and wake myself up. By 11am I was touring an interesting art gallery. By 12:30 I was awaiting my folks car.

Nice meal enjoyed in a Syrian restaurant in town then, later, some shopping for a few necessities including a bug deterrent. I’ve never been bitten by mosquitoes so much in my life.

A lovely evening chatting to my folks, very grateful.
