Forest bug...

Or a shield bug as I thought. I'm sorting out my little array of dying plants on my steps. They were all doing okay but it's mostly a shaded spot until late afternoon so I'm attempting to make it pretty with things that don't mind the dark. My pansies have been ravished by the slugs again... I remember my Mum going out to the garden at night with a head torch and scissors... I'm not sure I have that in me. The most I can manage is sliding a plant tag under them and flicking them off. *shudders*
