To the Japan Foundation to see Crafting Life: Stories From The Japanese Studio, an exhibition of maki-e lacquerwork, imperfectly beautiful pottery and sashiko needlework, a technique used to breathe new life into clothing.

We came home the long way via a Japanese restaurant in Waterloo.
