A mixed day weatherwise - windy, the odd bit of sunshine and some serious downpours. We mainly mooched around but did a couple of walks - this one to seek out the Holed Stone was notable for the amazing colours of the heather and fuchsia, the wind and the large, rather stoical cattle that we had to circumnavigate. The Holed Stone is also known as the Marriage Stone and folklore tells that couples plighted their troth by clasping hands through the hole.
We ventured out for another walk in the late afternoon - over by the stone circle and got poured on but by the time we reached Kitchen Cove it was (almost) sunny with a hint of a rainbow - we jumped in!
Evening film - True Grit - didn't quite make it.
I think wildflower week is over now Miranda?
