Port Tarakohe

Was woken around 6.00am for a family chat with W, T & F.  T not sounding good.....Discussions with medics who are now looking at implementing palliative care. :( 

Van packed and ready to roll midday-ish.  No point in rushing as the forecast is for rain and wind from now through the weekend.  The rain started to reveal itself over the Takaka Hill (which is a real mess.....so many slips from recent rains, so many roadworks to fix them....) and by the time I got to Takaka it was raining.  This evening the rain has abated but has given way to blustery winds.  Don't think I'll be doing much tomorrow.  The photographic weekend might end up being a little different to what we'd thought it might be.  Hey ho. 

New laptop is performing beautifully so far :D  Yay!
