River Dee Perspectives

First time in a while. Paddle boarding, that is. Taking advantage of the decent weather of late and the seemingly rapid healing from my hernia operation. Having come across some swimming platforms along the Dee on the map last night it seemed like a no brainer to try out this spot by a tiny village called Eccleston on the edge of Chester with the aim of paddling into Chester, somewhere. It took me 40 minutes to reach the River Dee Banks which hosts a carpark, play area, boat ramp and a jetty. A further 20 minutes took me right into the centre where the weir is situated. Quite a few others had the same idea later on creating a happy summer holiday atmosphere all round. The car park was full by the time I got back and set off home missing the traffic, as you do.
My hernia all okay. Rest of my body? We'll see tomorrow as we set off to Bala lake....
