A very large Chinese Mantis
Tenodera sinensis, hanging out on my strawberry sundae hydrangea. He keeps moving around a bit . I think he m ay be getting frustrated as he has not been able to grab anything to eat over the last hour. Actually this one is the largest mantis I have ever seen. ?Possibly a female???
Our exterminator finally came today and said I made it easier for him with all the stuff we did. I am sure it was worth it .
Another exciting development (not) is my daughter informed us she has covid. Just tested this AM , barely any symptoms but home from work and canceled a planned trip to Pittsburgh this weekend. The fun never stops.
I have corneal dysplasia which is apparently very common at my age , its more common in women , and may be the cause of my very slightly blurry vision which I only notice when I try to read signs that are distant. I have to pick up eye drops today that they ordered and if that helps we're good. If not I can get a pair of glasses to wear when I need it. The last option which he didn't recommend unless it gets way worse is they can laser the extra cells that have formed off. Thanks I will pass on that . Id on't mind the glasses for driving where I need to read the signs and birding.
