York

First thing this morning we drove the 20 miles or so north from Durham to Newcastle to have a quick look at the university. Then we headed south to York. It was very busy due to the Bank Holiday but we had a lovely few hours wandering around the city.....having a picnic lunch on the bank of Clifford's Tower and also a drive and a walk around the university campus.

I liked this photo because it really sums up the day......narrow streets swarming with people and overlooked by the majestic Minster. The people look fairly happy too. We all loved York......I think Lucy will definitely be applying to study here!

It's been a very busy and tiring couple of days but worth it.....it doesn't matter how well you read the prospectus or look on-line, there is simply no substitute for seeing the universities and getting a 'feel' for the locations.

Chicken stir-fry for dinner and a LARGE glass of wine.....and then an early night.

Hope you've all had a wonderful weekend x
