Intricate.

Was checking some flowers in a bouquet from Saturday when I noticed how beautifully intricate these white Nigellas were. Spent a happy half hour snapping away.

Slight drama on our road this evening (extra). Our lovely neighbour John had a fall while putting out his neighbours bins. The ambulance was called at 4pm when he fell.

 Long story short ... It eventually got here two and a half hours later. In the meantime he was laid on the path, couldn't move, said his hip and ribs hurt. We had torrential rain and thunderstorms, his head was towards the dropdown to the road which I found a bit worrying. Neighbbours rallied round though. We took over my waterproof sunshade that I use for dog shows, which kept the rain off. Then another neighbour brought his camper van with awning to keep the rain off. A chair was brought out for his wife, we took a puppy pad to keep him warm, lots of blankets, and a little bit of banter to keep him company. A nurse from down the street was passing, so stopped and stayed with him until the paramedics arrived.

When the paramedics asked if he was allergic to anything he answered "Yes, ambulances and hospitals". He's in his mid 80's and in a lot of discomfort, but stoic as they come! I do hope he is okay, we are very fond of him and his wife Anne.
