Houses
Viewed from the back garden.
We had a viewing today. They were late. We sometimes hide in the motorhome while the agent shows them around. They didn't seem to stay long and the agent was late for his next appointment and needed to rush off so little feedback.
We are having very mixed feelings about selling. Can't find anything we can afford and want to move to.
As it happens we are discussing this when the phone rings. It's the agent. They have made an offer. £30,000 under asking price! Short conversation. We say no. They are cash buyers and should be a prized catch but, we haven't got anywhere to go and are due to go on holiday on Tuesday. Our now yearly jaunt to France in our motorhome. And of course I'm really not sure I want to sell anymore. We have had an influx of people our age into the road all downsizing. Downsizing to 4 bed family homes. Are we really doing the right thing? Sadly yes I think we are. The house is very cold in the winter summer and a lot to maintain.
Anyway. A moment later the phone goes again! Revised offer! Looks like we have sold! I really don't know what to feel about this.
Lots of talk with V and outgoing phone calls to agents to hastily arrange viewing.
In amongst it all there is a silver lining. We still have boxes, unpacked, from when we moved in! There's a job done already.
I really should be looking forward to this but I'm not.
Todays Blip. Actually its of a row of houses that started this house hunt. Our old neighbours now reside there and love it. We had a look around and loved the house. Outside space no so much. Also being new there are restrictions. Too many? Too small? On the market too long? Probably a year now since completion. Still nags.
