tempus fugit

Tenby art

We made a trip to Tenby in the exotic land that is the south of the county. Our guest Barbara was keen to see the work of Gwen John in the museum there.

There are also paintings by her better known brother Augustus  who acknowledged that, of the two, his sister would be remembered as the finer artist. We watched an ancient interview with the old reprobate, mumbling through his shaggy moustache at the fag end of his notorious life - still with a glint in his eye.

Gwen died in at 63 in a Dieppe hotel. She loved cats but did not do well with the men and women she loved.

Last time in Tenby I blipped some inadvertent art and this time I noticed another example of it  (I think) on an old shed door just outside the museum.
The view looks back towards the town from the spit of rock on which the museum stands.
