Salvage from the Wreckage

Haverigg

Run in the morning.
Luna and I met two blokes with dogs coming the other way on a narrow footbridge.
One of them, rather testily, asked us to wait at the slightly wider part so that they could pass. I was already doing that.
As we passed, he, again rather testily, said that the bridge wasn’t wide enough for dogs and people to pass. I replied that I hadn’t built the bridge. “I know!” He said. “It was built in the 60s!”

I will think about that reply for a long time.

In the afternoon we went to Haverigg and walked around rhe sea wall that encompasses the nature reserve.
