She's Still Here!

The Trumpet Vine is still blooming but not as prolific as it did earlier but there are enough new flowers to keep Henrietta coming back.  It won't be long now before she will be winging her way south with these very cool mornings. This morning's light on her emerald feathers was so beautiful. I think this may be the first time I've been able to photograph a Hummingbird's wee feet as she stood on a flower to take a drink. She'll need all the energy she can store up when she finally makes the long trip to Central America to spend the winter. An amazing journey for such a wee lass.
