Déjà vu...
I've only ever seen a Speckled Wood Butterfly in the garden here twice - once today and, Blip tells me, almost exactly a year ago in almost the same place. It settled late this afternoon as I was watering the roses that seem to have survived, fingers crossed, a week of drought in our absence.
A day of sorting out and starting to tackle the usual jobs necessary after a week camping. Much as we need need rain, I'm quite glad it stayed dry - three loads of washing done and dried on the line...
