Swan Arcade (Friday 29th August 2025)

By chance today I found examples of the sort of pictures of the eight cygnets I would have got had I been at the right place yesterday. These were taken between London Road road bridge in Devizes and Coate, both of which I drove by but didn't stop near. From reading the comments I learn that there were originally nine cygnets but one had a damaged wing and was taken away by a swan rescue team to be looked after - apparently it is doing well. Yesterday they were accompanied by both parents, and have previously been seen in two groups, each with one parent. They are just beginning to attempt to fly so should be ready to strike out on their own soon.
