The view...

We've been in Italy for over a fortnight, and I think I've finally gone native, totally chilled out. So I bring you the view... from my deckchair ;-)) I did lean forward to get the castle framed between the trees but I didn't bother to stand up...

You can just see the top of a castle on a small hilltop in the middle distance. It's Castello di Meleto, which was originally built by Benedictine monks, although by 1269 it belonged to the Ricasoli family who owned it for 600 years. The building you see today is mainly 15th century with late improvements, including an astonishing tiny 18th century theatre. Today it's another big wine estate and this castle can also be hired for sumptuous weddings.
