Gardening week.

It is Friday so I have been to Stowe and we have been carrying out an Autumn tidy of the farmhouse garden.

At home, the blip shows our preparation of the fruit cage for 2026. We have created two beds, one for lettuce and radishes and a central bed for strawberries. The central bed has received new topsoil and compost in an attempt to encourage the strawberry plants to really develop and produce lots of fruit next year.

Also in the fruit cage there is a red current bush a blackberry plant, a loganberry and two blueberry bushes so we are well provided with soft fruit. It’s been good this year but hopefully will be better next year.
