Feed Me!

I was out during the morning, walking along the Walsall Canal with a long lens, hoping to spot the kingfisher I saw last week. Frustratingly, there was no sign of the iridescent blue and orange. I did start watching this moor hen and chick and loved the interaction.  I'm aware that nature photography has now gone beyond the simple pursuit of capturing an image of an animal. Now it has to have contact, either behavioural or environmental. As ever your photograph has to tell a story.

We had more rain including a heavy shower over lunchtime. Much needed though I think I'll have to do more work to help the lawns recover after the summer we've had.
