Watered
After breakfast today I decided to get on with cleaning the manky old stickers off the yoga room door. I thought it would take a couple of hours - they were old and some of them looked to be peeling anyway. Get it done, then I could go for a walk and do more fun things.
Shows how wrong you can be!
Google had suggested heat from a hairdryer to loosen them, peeling a bit at a time, then using an old credit card or loyalty card and nail varnish remover or white spirit to remove the residue. So that's what I did.
It was not as easy as I thought, only a couple came off easily. The rest seemed bonded onto the door. It was a very boring task as the noise of the hair dryer meant I couldn't listen to music or podcasts. By lunchtime I'd run out of nail varnish remover and the defunct loyalty card was knackered. As was I!
I wanted to get the job finished though, so after a quick lunch I went out to get white spirit, going to the chemist through the park so I could get a Blip. The local Co-op pharmacy don't stock it, so I went into town and got some from Boots, where it was on offer.
Back home and I'd just about finished the job when Brian came home from work at 5 pm. I just had a ton of little crumbs of paper to vacuum up.
There was time for a little break before cooking a healthy deconstructed version of a Burger King meal for my tea. It was yummy, and there's spare to heat up so less work tomorrow.
My Blip shows the flower displays on the bridge over the pond being watered.
