Need to break down the walls of your neighbour’s castle? The chosen tool for the job is the Trebuchet siege engine.

This working reconstruction was used to demolish the old public convenience building on the Urquhart castle site. Of course, this one is now past its prime and would not now be safe to use again I think. It could no longer support its 8 ton counterweight, let alone cope with flinging a 250lb stone over 200 yards at 127mph!
